Our Maryland Wear and Carry course is designed to meet and exceed the Maryland State Police requirements. Throughout the 2 days (16 hours), the course will:

• Teach the basics of pistol safety

• Provide an introduction to pistol types and the functions of each

• Discuss the laws that cover firearms in Maryland

• Teach basic handgun skills such as marksmanship and how to handle malfunction

What Students Should Bring to Class:

• Comfortable non-restrictive clothing.

• No open toe shoes

• No loose fitting or low cut tops

• Note taking materials

• Lunch

• Handgun - Rentals available for $15 plus ammo (market price)

• 150 rounds of ammunition

• Eye and ear protection meant for shooting

Time:

Expect the start time for both days to be the start time listed in the class registration.

Location:

Classes will be held in Hunt Valley. Range time will be held at the Guntry range in Owings Mills, MD.

Students will receive a GTS course completion certificate. This course will satisfy all requirements of the Maryland State Police, but GTS cannot guarantee the applicant will receive a permit from the Maryland State Police.
